Circular Economy Blueprint for Waste Management in Malaysia (2025 - 2035)
The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) has launched the Circular Economy Blueprint for Solid Waste in Malaysia (2025 - 2035). This blueprint provides information and direction to advance the national circular economy's development, including the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme and a zero-waste-to-landfill certification for manufacturers. It will focus on five strategic pillars, 20 initiatives, and several related action plans covering governance and legislation, guidelines and procedures, data collection systems, and the growth of recycling and solid waste-based industries.
